Denver Moves Cherry Creek
Walter Scheib, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
This planning project will explore which infrastructure improvements will make it safer and more convenient to walk, bicycle, take transit, deliver goods, and drive in and around the Cherry Creek area. Also being studied are green infrastructure, parking, curbside uses and wayfinding in Cherry Creek. The results of this project will inform how Denver funds, designs, builds, and maintains the future multimodal transportation network of the entire Cherry Creek Area, including whether and how 1st Avenue will be redeveloped with safer pedestrian access.
Fraud Protection
Maro Casparian, Denver District Attorney Office.
The District Attorney’s Consumer Fraud Protection program oversees a comprehensive program to educate consumers about scams and schemes operating in the Denver Metro area, and to assist those who have fallen victim to one of the numerous fraud events. All services of the program are free to the public.
Sidewalk Improvement Ballot Initiative
Jill Locantore, Exec Dir, Denver Streets
Partnership. If passed, the Denver Deserves Sidewalks program would be funded by a modest annual fee charged to property owners. The fee would provide ongoing funding for sidewalk repairs, removing the responsibility for repairs from adjacent property owners and placing this responsibility on the City.
