The BLEND Story I’ve been in the bar industry for over twenty years, so when I was exploring possible businesses to open, I knew it had to be something I was familiar with and already loved. But opening a bar during COVID was too risky, so I decided to take my passion for good wine and tequila and open a liquor store. I knew I didn’t want your everyday liquor store. I wanted something that would be unique and stand out. I wanted a place where people would come not only to buy a bottle of wine and walk away, but a place where people would feel drawn to tell me their story, the story behind their love for their favorite wine, and allow us to find new wines for them to love based on those stories and experiences. Once I decided what direction I wanted to head with the liquor store concept, the next question was how I could provide that to my future customers and the answer was natural. I had to get the best of the best. At Blend, all our wines are from small vineyards, from people who have made their life wine as I have. And that shows with every bottle we put on our shelves. We also carry a large selection of craft beer where we support Colorado breweries and also some of the most recognized craft breweries in the country. Lastly, I had an opportunity to share my passion for tequilas. I’m really proud of our tequila selection. I don’t just find what I hear is the best before stocking our shelves. I research and study every Tequila meticulously. How the tequila is made, the story behind each brand, and who makes it.
